Apple delays international release of iPad

The New York Times reports that Apple will delay the global release of the iPad until the end of May.  Online ordering for the iPad will begin on May 10th.  This delay is apparently due to iPad supplies, which, according to Apple were, “far higher than we predicted and will likely continue to exceed our supply over the next several weeks.”

Apple delivered over 500,000 Wi-Fi enabled iPad devices in the first week, with 300,000 being sold on the release date, as we reported earlier.
